DC and Joel demonstrated different approaches to merging pictuers in PS Elements.

Anthea showed an article from www.photonaturalist.net, concerning the photographing of dragonflies, and recommended members visit the site and sign up for its associated newsletters.

Ian G passed around one of his prints and invited members' criticism.

Members expressed support for the proposed change of meeting venue from the library to the community centre.

"Birds of Prey" photo shoot, cancelled last month due to the weather, now rescheduled for 22 Nov 2014.

Members' photos on the theme of "Wildlife" were viewed.

Lyn and John K displayed photos and invited members' criticism.

John K and Dave C showed examples of audiovisual presentations (using still photos).

Anthea presented information about the Sculpture Park at Churt and showed some photographs which she had taken there on a recent visit.

Laurie showed photographs from his recent trip from Prague to Budapest.

6 September 2014 - 1st anniversary meeting!

"Birds of Prey" photo shoot not now possible on 20 September so 18 October voted as preferred date.

South East Water community fund for deserving local organizations & clubs - Dave to put in an application for equipment, as discussed, for the club.

A few short demonstrations by Dave:- using Jessops Photo Book, creating a montage in Elements and using filters in Elements (specifically to create motion blur).

Karen showed photographs from her recent visit to the Galapagos islands.

Members' photos on the theme of "Windows and doors" were viewed.

Laurie extolled the virtues of the Sony A7 mirrorless full-frame camera.

Noting that the next meeting will be the first anniversary of the club's formation, the theme for the coming month is "Your best photographs taken during the last 12 months".

Photoshop: Dave demonstrated copying an image into a photo of a mirror or other refective surface so that the image appeared to be a reflection. John clarified the copy & paste technique touched on at the previous meeting.

Members' "Movement/Motion" photos viewed.

Photoshop: Dave demonstrated cloning while John showed how to copy & paste to achieve the same effect for larger areas.
