Who we are

We are a small, friendly photographers club with great ambitions!

We are based in Bordon, Hampshire, UK and we meet from 10am to 12 noon, usually on the first Saturday of each month. Meeting venue is Bordon Forest Community Centre.

Currently we are a group of 30+ people of all different levels of experience and expertise. The main aim of the group is for people with an interest in photography to come together and discuss their photos, learn from each other, discuss popular photography techniques and concepts, share ideas and motivate each other to get out there and take some beautiful photographs.

Agenda

At the February meeting we will have an outside speaker who will be talking on the subject of "Astrophotography".

Allowing for the possibility that there may be time during the meeting for more than the astrophotography talk, a theme has been set for members' photos. The theme is "What is it?", in other words take photographs of items from unusual angles or, say, at high magnification to leave viewers guessing what the item is. In each case, a second photo showing the object from a normal viewpoint would be beneficial. If there is no time to show members' theme photos at the February meeting, then the same theme will be carried over to the 2nd of March meeting.

If the specified theme doesn't inspire you, then feel free to bring along (on a USB stick) any photos you'd like to show. Additionally, members are invited to bring along prints on the theme (or any other subject) for display at the meeting.

As always, members may bring along a photo, either one of their own or one from the web (or elsewhere), for critical comment by all present at the meeting. The photo of course needs to be on a USB stick so that it can be projected.

The usual raffle will be included with lots of unpredictable (!) prizes.

Don't Forget

If you have any old photos that need restoring either bring them along or email them over to Dave Cox (infocusphotographersclub@gmail.com).

Also please email some photos that you would like to have published on our web site, to replace the stock images that we are currently displaying. It's not possible to extract them from individual flickr accounts.
